Flyby News Exclusive Updates on Bart Jordan
and evidence of technologically advanced ancient civilizations

The Cassini Earth flyby was preceded by the launching of this NASA space probe in October 1997 with a record load of Plutonium on board. The probe was directed toward Venus to conduct two flybys that increased the speed significantly, and then the Cassini space probe was directed toward Earth traveling around 10 miles per second. It had the potential to release 400,000 curies of radioactive plutonium into our atmosphere in a breathable and ingest-able form. August 17/18, 1999, Cassini was less than minutes away from unprecedented tragedy, which could impact life for thousands of years. But it wasn't just that NASA or the US military would take such a risk, a greater surprise resulted when Bart Jordan called Flyby News because of a press release where he learned of the Plutonium content on board Cassini. Bart Jordan wanted to post a statement on how ancient civilizations knew all about development of such isotopes. Yet that information was just the tip of something I never could imagine as happening. Bart Jordan told me that he learned the languages of the ancient Hellenic (Greek), Germanic, and Semitic from his grandfather. After reading Gulliver's Travels in which Swift, although writing fiction, had accorded two moons to Mars he wanted to determine their exact revolutions and distances from Mars. In 1944 when Bart Jordan was seven years of age, he calculated the distances of moons, Phobos and Deimos (named by the ancient Greeks) from the center of Mars. Is there any other explanation for how Jordan's four measures appear in the statistical box of Encyclopaedia Britannica's article on Mars, running from 1966 to 1973? This is prior to NASA's ability to measure and confirm.

Jordan's article, "The Moons of Mars," published by QUEST For Knowledge (a British science publication) in 1997, was excerpted from his paper of 1944 and provided mathematical evidence that the moons of Mars were culled from the Asteroid Belt between Jupiter and Mars. Jordan also predicted the fifth moon of Uranus, which was known to the Homeric Greeks as Harmonia, and gave these calculations to Dr. Gerard Kuiper, who then identified the moon in 1948 (which he called Miranda after a heroine of Shakespeare). This moon renamed Miranda has a very interesting mark on its surface, described by NASA as having a "chevron" feature, which looks like a big number 7, with new and old terrain.

Bart Jordan's is currently working on a new paper where he will show how he derived measurements
from the alphabets of ancient languages. He expects to have this available for Flyby News to post in 2005.

Measure Man's Mind and Mind Man's Measure
by Bart Jordan

The following is the final statement in an article Bart Jordan wrote, called Measure Man's Mind and Mind Man's Measure" published in the journal of the New England Antiquities Research Association Volume # 14, Spring 1985.

"..Patient reader: we all know that musicians are supposed to emote and not think. However, before leaving you with this minor statement of major systems, this truncated report inviting a thousand queries, allow this musician some emotive thoughts about Man's personal measure. From my former articles and foregoing account, it can be seen that much of what we are now may be measured against what we were then. And it is just this matter of measure that must be understood — the "we" of then and now.

We are historic; we were prehistoric. How do we measure ourselves? Our intellectual present versus our intuitive past? Originality versus aboriginality? Such notions as present Man is matchless and past Man is witless have little validity and less virtue. There is a difference between hidden harmony and apparent harmony, between mentality and ornamentality, between a thinking individual and a thoughtless society. In mindful time past, we honoured our grandparents; in mindless time present, we threaten our grandchildren.

Where are the measures of yesteryear? Blue Winter Mother, Green Spring Daughter, Yellow Year Person, Orange Autumn Son, Red Summer Father — a bow has been set in the cloud, a covenant made with the Earth. There be a message in these measures for a man's family and for the Family of Man:

Love Creation and Created
Honour Moon, Sun, and Planet
Obey Time and Space
Obey Sound and Light
Honour Earth, Star, and Comet
Love Finite and Infinite

We have inherited more than the wind. We have a measure of Man's mind.

News Flash! ! !

An Antarctic ice shelf that was 200 metres thick and had a surface area of 3,250 square kilometres has broken apart in less than a month.

"We knew what was left would collapse eventually, but the speed of it is staggering," said Dr David Vaughan, a glaciologist at the Bas in Cambridge.

"[It is hard] to believe that 500 billion tonnes of ice sheet has disintegrated in less than a month."

"When in the dim beginnings of the years,
God mixed into humans the rapture and the tears,
and scattered through brains the starry stuff, and said,
"Behold, this is not enough, for I must test the spirit to make sure
that they can dare the vision and endure,
Leaving behind only a broken clue, a crevice where the glory glimmers through,
Leaving them in tragic loneliness to choose,
With all in life to win, or all in life to lose."

1) Disclosure Project Update

The Disclosure Project (DP) is a nonprofit research project working to fully disclose the facts about UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and classified advanced energy and propulsion systems. We have over 400 government, military, and intelligence community witnesses testifying to their direct, personal, first hand experience with UFOs, ETs, ET technology, and the cover-up that keeps this information secret.

For revealing witness testimonies, and background on the Disclosure Project, see Flyby News Archives, posted 11 May 2001,12613,

The following excerpts are from three sample DP Testimonies.:

Admiral Lord Hill-Norton:
Five-Star Admiral, Former Head of the British Ministry of Defense, July 2000

Lord Hill-Norton is a five-star Admiral and the former Head of the British Ministry of Defense who was kept in the dark about the UFO subject during his official capacities. In this short interview, he states that this subject has great significance and should no longer be denied and kept secret. He emphatically states, "…that there is a serious possibility that we are being visited — and have been visited for many years — by people from outer space, from other civilizations; that it behooves us to find out who they are, where they come from, and what they want. This should be the subject of rigorous scientific investigation, and not the subject of rubbishing by tabloid newspapers."

Sgt. Clifford Stone: US Army

"During the discussion of UFOs, the question, ultimately, is going to come up, can any government keep secrets, let alone the U.S. Government? And the answer to that is unequivocally yes. But one of the greatest weapons the intelligence community has at their disposal is a predisposition by the American people, the American politicians and the debunkers — people who wish to try to debunk UFO information. They immediately come out and say, oh, we can't keep secrets, we can't keep secrets. Well, the truth is, yes, we can.

"The National Reconnaissance Office remained secret for many, many years. The mere existence of the NSA remained secret. The development of the atomic weapon remained secret until once you exploded one you eventually had to tell some people what was going on.

"And we are conditioned by our own paradigms not to accept the possibility or probability of a highly advanced intelligent civilization coming here to visit us. You have evidence in the form of highly credible reports of objects being seen, of the entities inside these objects being seen. Yet, we look for a prosaic explanation and we throw out the bits and pieces of the evidence that doesn't meet our paradigm. So it is a self-keeping secret. You can conceal it in plain sight. It is political suicide to go and start hitting up intelligence agencies to get this information released. So, most of your members of Congress, and I know I've worked with a lot of them along that line, will balk and try not to do it. I can name you three members of Congress that were point blank asked to have a congressional inquiry on what happened here at Roswell…

"We have got to get the documentation as it exists in the Government files. We have got to get it released before it ultimately is destroyed. A good example is the Blue Fly and Moon Dust files. I had classified documents the Air Force acknowledged. When I got members of Congress to help me open up more files, they were immediately destroyed and I can prove this.

"Somewhere along the line, they may see that material and realize there is some very highly sensitive information that would have a damning effect upon the national security of United States should it become compromised. It needs to be further protected, to insure that there is only a limited access to that information to a small number of people. So small you can put them on a list of paper, on a piece of paper, and list them by name. Thus, you have the special access programs. The controls that were supposed to be put on the special access programs are not there. When Congress did their review of the way we protect documents, and the way we go ahead and implement our secrecy programs, they found that you had special access programs within special access programs — that is was essentially impossible to keep control of them all by Congress. And, I'm telling you right now; it is essentially impossible to keep control of them all.

"When it comes to UFOs, the same criteria applies. Therefore, only a small nucleus within the intelligence community, numbering less than a hundred — no, I'd suggest less than 50 — control all that information. It is not subject to congressional review or oversight at all. So, Congress needs to go ahead and ask the hard questions and convene a hearing."

Sgt. Karl Wolfe: US Air Force

"I didn't want to look at it any longer than that, because I felt that my life was in jeopardy. Do you understand what I'm saying? I would have loved to have looked at it longer, I would have loved to have had copies. I would love to have said more about it, discussed it more, but I knew I couldn't. I knew the young fellow who was sharing this was really, really overstepping his bounds at that point.

"I felt that he just needed somebody to talk to. He hadn't discussed it, couldn't discuss it, and he wasn't doing it for any ulterior motive other than the fact that I think he had the weight of this thing on him and it was distressing to him…

"I knew that I couldn't go anyplace for at least five years without telling the State Department where I was, after I left the military. Any time I traveled I had to notify and get permission, even in the United States. They had to know where I was all the time. As an example, if we went to Vietnam there was always someone there with us, with a gun, ready to annihilate us basically if we should fall into the hands of the enemy. They didn't want the enemy to get us; we would be killed instead.

"So we knew we were operating under these sort of conditions. Your life was in jeopardy all the time, should you fall into the wrong hands. So we were aware of that. I was told when I left that I would be investigated on a regular basis to make sure that I wasn't involved in any peculiar activities that didn't suit the government's needs."

2) HAARP Experiments Activated

From: ELFRAD ©1986 -- Extremely Low Frequency Research And Development

The HAARP installation in Alaska has announced a campaign of testing for two weeks starting March 15, 2002.

It is my understanding that each test will last ten hours beginning at 7 PM Alaska time each evening. The frequencies being used in this particular campaign are 3.2 MHz, 3.3 MHz and 5.8 MHz.

The ELFRAD Group will also be monitoring for unusual signals however at a much lower frequency. It is believed that it may be possible to detect and record ULF and ELF signals which may be generated during this campaign. which propagate through the earth rather than through the atmosphere.

Unusual signals in the range from .01 to 45 hertz will be recorded during this period and displayed on this page.

The charts are time referenced to the bureau of time standards WWV in Boulder, Colorado to within plus or minus 10 milliseconds, in order for others to compare their receptions.

Acoustic sound & image from HAARP insertion tests can be found at the following links.
(The sound recording is speeded up several times.)

3) The sound of silence
by Kathryn Casa

BRATTLEBORO Five weeks ago, a brave and excellent voice fell silent. J.B.C. "Tommy" Thomas was a community activist, an educator, a veteran, a teacher, a church-goer and a musician. Thomas died suddenly during a meeting, a day after he had been skiing with family. At 76, his life had been full. He had served as president of All Souls Unitarian Church, a board member of the Brattleboro Music Center and the Brattleboro Area Drop-In Center.

When he died he was president of the Windham Arts Council and the Marlboro Conservation Commission, and was on the board of the Windham Regional Commission and the Southern Vermont Regional Marketing Organization, and was working with Early Educational Services.

Wednesday, March 13, 2002

By all accounts a life well lived.

Those agencies and organizations doubt are feeling the loss of such a dynamic contributor. And even though Thomas' work with them was not finished, they are strong and well-established, and other voices will pick up where his left off.

But Tommy Thomas leaves one more job unfinished. It was a job he never asked for; instead, it was thrust upon him the morning of Dec. 2 when a frightened man burst into the church where Thomas was about to worship. Robert "Woody" Woodward left that church with seven bullets in his body and died a few hours later.

Woody Woodward never knew Tommy Thomas. Perhaps there are bigger powers at play that understand why their fates converged that morning in West Brattleboro; why their existence assumed a parallel course for two brief months; why the synchronicity of their nicknames today is woven into the same printed paragraph.

But Tommy Thomas had no doubt as to his responsibility. He listened to Woodward because something told him he should; he witnessed the events that unfolded in that church because he felt it was his responsibility to do so; and he stayed the course when other witnesses fell silent. Until he died, Tommy Thomas knew what he saw and did not hesitate to talk about it. He wasn't silenced by critics who tried to hush him; less than 10 days before his death, he stood his ground before town and police officials and asked pointedly, "Are you telling me I didn't see what I saw?"

Three months later, Brattleboro is in the twilight zone between trauma and resolution. Some grieve the loss of a man's life, others the loss of confidence; some aim their anger at police, others at this newspaper for keeping Woodward's last day alive. All this plays out against the silence of the system. We wait for the attorney general to make a decision, wait for word of a grand jury, wait for autopsy results, wait for the clarity of truth to pierce the shroud of questions that continue to surround Dec. 2.

As the months pass, time has not healed us and, ultimately, silence will not serve us. Instead, it dims the memories and dulls the questions.

Woody Woodward was quieted too soon.

So was Tommy Thomas. But his example can be our collective legacy: He used his voice as a tool -- to question, to build community. We must do the same.
